The All Japan Pro-Wrestling Champion Carnival 2026 continued on April 18th at Kinjo-Futo Arena Main Arena in Nagoya. The second night of tournament action drew 875 fans to the venue.
The main event was a big Block A showdown between the current AJPW Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara and Go Shiozaki. The last singles match between the two superstars occurred back in Oct 2025 when Shiozaki unsuccessfully challenged Miyahara for the Triple Crown Title.
Six months after his loss to Miyahara, Shiozaki was able to avenge that defeat as he scored a massive win over Miyahara and added two more points to raise his Champion Carnival 2026 total to four. It took a Shiozaki Strong Arm Lariat to finish off Miyahara at the 25:46 mark of the match.
With momentum now on his side, Shiozaki offered these backstage post-match comments:
From Go Shiozaki:
“I can really feel the spirit of All Japan Pro Wrestling. I think all the fans who came today truly grasped the history Kento Miyahara has built, his strength, and his passion. With today’s victory, the momentum is on my side. There’s no escaping this cycle of battles.”
In other action, Dragongate star Madoka Kikuta defeated Ryuki Honda and Yuma Aoyagi got past Jun Saito. Both bouts were Block B contests. With the loss, Jun Saito has now lost four straight singles matches as the former Triple Crown Champion continues to struggle.
