Sareee and Takumi Iroha Have Unfinished Business with Miyu Yamashita Following TJPW GRAND PRINCESS

By Noah Leatherland

Spark Rush made their first appearance as a team in TJPW in one of the marquee matches at GRAND PRINCESS. The duo picked up a victory, but it seems that neither of them are finished with one of the opponents, Miyu Yamashita, just yet.

Sareee had originally been scheduled to team up with TNA’s Léi Yǐng Lee, with Takumi Iroha taking her place after she had to drop out. They faced off against two of the best TJPW had to offer, Miyu Yamashita and Arisu Endo. Endo suffered the brunt of Spark Rush’s offence, ultimately being the one that took the pinfall.

Whenever Yamashita was involved in the action, the tensions between her and both members of Spark Rush were palpable. Sareee and Yamashita’s handshake before the bell was hardly a handshake at all. Then, after the bout, the two went forehead-to-forehead. Endo also swatted away Iroha’s attempted handshake after the match. In their post-match comments, Yamashita and Endo vented their frustations:

Yamashita:

That was fun! But! I didn’t win. It was fun, but I have to win. It’s so frustrating! I’m not done yet. I’ll definitely win next time.

Endo:

It’s so frustrating… I don’t want it to end like this. Let’s fight again someday.

On the other side of the result, Spark Rush were much happier as they surveyed the landscape of TJPW.

Iroha:

My first time stepping into Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling as Spark Rush. I haven’t had my fill of fighting Miyu Yamashita yet. As for Arisu Endo, I thought she was just a little girl, but she’s a good fighter.

Sareee:

Winning the match was a given. I want to face Miyu Yamashita again. Also, I’m really intrigued by Miu Watanabe.

At time of writing, neither members of Spark Rush are scheduled for any more upcoming TJPW events. However, it seems they are both eager to return and face off against the promotion’s best.
