Showing My Full Range Of Emotions: Toga On Her Present In TJPW

TJPW started their year with a packed Korakuen Hall in their tradional show of January 4. At that show, Michinoku Pro Wrestling’s MIRAI defeated Arisu Endo to win the TJPW International Princess Championship. After the match, Hot Shot’s Toga came to the ring and declared that she wants to face MIRAI for the title. MIRAI accepted Toga’s resolution and TJPW made it official. What comes next in TJPW’s schedule is Valentine’s Day ’26 this February 14th at Korakuen Hall. One of the matches of the card is for the International Princess Title: MIRAI (c) vs Toga. Toga is ready to challenge for one of the single titles in TJPW.

A week before participating in the title defense, I was able to talk with Toga and she was very kind to answer all the questions that covered a variety of topics related to her present in TJPW.

Monthly Puroresu: You formed Hot Shot with Yuna Manase. What’s your relationship like with Manase? What are your goals as a team?

Toga: I think many people see her as the senior lead who pulls me forward, but as tag partners, we have the kind of relationship where we can say anything to each other about what we want to do or the kind of team we want to be!

She’s also the person who truly taught me how much fun professional wrestling can be!

As a team, our goal is of course to win the belts together!

Monthly Puroresu: At Additional Attack ’25, you lost to OberEats and came close to winning the TJPW Princess Tag Team Championships. What are your thoughts on that match? What do you think of Ober Eats as a team?

Toga: That match was a very important match for me. I have never been good at showing my full range of emotions, but I was so emotional during and after the match that even when I watched the match myself, I wondered if it was really me. But because it was a match that even moved me emotionally, it made me want to keep having matches like that going forward.

At first glance, OberEats looks like a cool Kamifuku-san and a reckless Wakana-san, so they seem very different. But when I saw Kamifuku-san fighting Manase-san, she was just as desperate and aggressive, so I think they’re actually very similar as a team. That’s why it feels like they support each other and keep getting stronger together.

Monthly Puroresu: On February 14th, you’ll be challenging MIRAI for the International Princess Championship. What are your expectations for this match? What do you think of MIRAI as a competitor?

Toga: Of course I’m going to win the belt and become the champion! I’m not thinking about anything else!!

MIRAI-san wasn’t in TJPW when I joined, so I’ve never actually seen her wrestle live, but I know she’s incredibly strong.

When I stood face-to-face with her to make my challenge official, I was overwhelmed by her aura as a powerful wrestler.

However, once she started talking, she had this sort of fluffy vibe that totally caught me off guard. Honestly, I won’t know what I’m up against until we actually lock up in the ring.

Monthly Puroresu: TJPW is returning to Texas, USA, for a tour in March. Would you like to participate in this tour?

Toga: I haven’t been abroad yet, and I’d like to go!

But I’m not too good at English, so that’s my worry.

Monthly Puroresu: What would you say to a fan who has never seen TJPW live to encourage them to attend this event?

Toga: I think that once you see TJPW, you will definitely get hooked!

Every wrestler is so unique, and there’s no one quite like anyone else, so you’re guaranteed to find someone you love. Eventually, I think you’ll end up loving everyone and wanting to see even more matches!

Monthly Puroresu: Could you tell us about your hobbies? And, when you’re not wrestling or at an event, what’s a typical day like for you?

Toga: Basically, I just relax at home and watch Netflix!

I like anime a lot, so I watch that and movies that interest me!

I also go shopping sometimes!

Monthly Puroresu: Thank you for participating in this interview. Finally, do you have any message for your fans and TJPW fans around the world?

Toga: Thank you for always supporting Toga!

I’m going to keep growing and become a wrestler who can take flight on the world stage. And I will meet everyone!
