Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Junior Tag League 2026 is set to start on February 6th in Korakuen Hall. The round-robin tournament for a shot at the Jr. Tag Team Championships will end on March 1st with all events airing live on Wrestle Universe.
Junior Tag league lineup:
The opening match of the 2026 NOAH Junior Tag League will see Team 2000X members Tadasuke & Jun Masaoka take on Eita & Katsumi Inahata on February 6th in Korakuen Hall. Tadasuke and Masaoka recently sat down for an interview with Pro Wrestling NOAH where they had some harsh words when asked what teams they are interested in this year.
Comments From Tadasuke and Masaoka:
Tadasuke: “Other than Wolf and Kai’s team, they’re all weak. Among them, those UK guys (Trew and Lacey) are especially weak. It was the same in last year’s final, but they lose consciousness easily, right? It’s an easy win. I feel sorry if they lose consciousness again.”
Masaoka: “It’s the same. Everyone except Kai and Wolf are weaklings.”
Tadasuke and Masaoka competed for the GHC Junior Tag Team Championships back in December at NOAH Sunny Voyage 2025, losing to the champions Daga and Daiki Odashima in 12:09. This will be the first time the team of Tadasuke and Masaoka compete in a NOAH Junior Tag League together.
Another team competing for the first time together in a NOAH Tag League is GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion AMAKUSA and Black Mensore. AMAKUSA won the 2025 NOAH Tag League alongside Junta Miyawaki, however this will be the first time Black Mensore competes in a NOAH Tag League. During an interview with Pro Wrestling NOAH, AMAKUSA was asked if there are any teams that he is keeping in mind this year and he mentions Mark Trew and Kieron Lacey who he faced in the finals of last year’s NOAH Tag League.
Comments from AMAKUSA:
AMAKUSA: “The two British people are the only choice. Ever since that day a year ago… our time has stood still. Though we are different partners, it is time for both of us to move time forward. Let’s settle this once and for all.”
In an interview with Pro Wrestling NOAH, current reigning GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Daga and Daiki Odashima were also asked which team they were most interested in, here’s what the champs had to say:
DAGA: “I think it’s a league with great players. I think we can play good matches against any team, but if you ask me what I’m most concerned about, it’s the two TEAM 2000X teams. We have a history with them, and we can’t play a fair, good match. So I think the key will be the two matches against them.”
ODASHIMA: “To be honest, I’m interested in all the teams. There’s Trew & Lacey, who I lost to last year, and the two T2000X teams that Daga mentioned. But… the team I’m most interested in is Eita and Katsumi (Inahata)’s “TBA”. As someone who teamed up with Eita and competed as “TBA” last year, I absolutely cannot lose to that team. By fighting them, I can clearly see the results of what I’ve accumulated over the past year. I want to show Eita how much I’ve grown, and personally, I have the strongest feelings for the two TBA members.”
