Marigold’s Kizuna Tanaka Undergoes Emergency Surgery Following Severe Injury at Jan. 17th event

Marigold star Kizuna Tanaka suffered a severe injury at the Jan. 17th MARIGOLD NEW YEAR GOLDEN GARDEN 2026 at the 176BOX venue in Osaka.

At the event, Tanaka teamed with Nagisa Tachibana as they faced Seri Yamaoka & SYOKO Koshino in tag team action.

As the match was progressing, Tanaka was hit with a diving body attack by Koshino. The offensive move by Koshino caused the left ankle of Tanaka to fracture and dislocate. The referee quickly checked on Tanaka and stopped the bout at the 6:03 mark.

The injury was so severe that Tanaka was taken to the hospital and had to undergo emergency surgery.

Tanaka will be out of action indefinitely as she recovers her the injury,
