Suwama Praises Daimonji So Following Their Pro Wrestling EVO Bout, Hints At Forming A Possible Tag Team

In the summer of 2017, Daimonji So wrestled his first match in Japan for All Japan Pro-Wrestling as he teamed with Ryouji Sai and they faced the superstar team of Suwama & Shuji Ishikawa. Daimonji So was beaten badly in this match to a point where he considered leaving pro-wrestling.

Fast forward to the Dec. 17th 2025 Pro Wrestling EVO Evolution Vol. 41 event at Shin-Kiba 1st RING in Tokyo. One of the featured matches saw Daimonji So face Suwama in a singles bout as Daimonji was eager to show Suwama how much he has grown in since last met eight years ago.

Daimonji So, who is the current BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion took the fight to Suwama and the match finished in a 15 minute draw.

Following the bout, Suwama took to X and praised Daimonji So and event hinted about possibly forming a tag team with with him.

From Suwama:

“I was shocked at how much that wrestler Daimonji has grown. I never thought he’d end up drawing. If there’s a wrestler this entertaining, I want to team up with him next time. One more thing to look forward to!”

For his part, Daimonji responded by thanking Suwama and was open to the idea of forming a tag team.

From Daimonji So:

“Thank you for the match. Next time, I’ll show you even greater progress right beside you. I look forward to your continued support.”

A tag team consisting of Suwama & Daimonji So would be a formidable one. If they decided to team up and enter a Tag League tournament, they could be very successful together.
