Big Japan Pro-Wrestling will return to the famed Korakuen Hall on Nov. 25th with a big card of action. The main event will feature the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion So Daimonji making the first defense of his title against former champion Yuya Aoki.

Daimonji won the BJW World Strong Heavyweight on Oct. 13th when he defeated Daichi Hashimoto at a sold out Chateraise Gateaux Kingdom Sapporo in Hokkaido. Aoki will be looking to regain the title he lost in Oct. 2024. He held the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship for 529 days which is the record for the longest reign.

On Nov. 21st, both Daimonji & Aoki posted comments on X regarding their upcoming championship bout. Daimonji mentioned he wants to go into the Dec. 21st event in Osaka with the BJW Strong Heavyweight Title in his possession.

From So Daimonji:

Only 4 days left. And just one month until #OsakaSurprise on 12/21 The fate of the final Osaka event before the hiatus on 12/21 will be decided at Korakuen Hall on 11/25. From Korakuen to Osaka. Bringing the heat from east to west. I will absolutely defend my title and head to Osaka I have a reason I must go. (Translated via Deepl)

From Yuya Aoki:

Following someone else’s path is fine, but I find more fulfillment in blazing my own trail. That’s why on November 25th. I’ll make this title match my chance to prove myself. Only 4 days left until the Korakuen Hall event!! (Translated via Deepl)

Daimonji formed a new faction recently which includes him, Minoru Fujita & Jacob Crane. Aoki may need to grow eyes on the back of his head and watch for potential outside interference from Fujita or Crane.

Whoever wins between Daimonji and Aoki will head to 176Box on Dec. 21st to face the winner of the #1 contenders bout set for Nov. 25 between Yasufumi Nakanoue vs. Kazumasa Yoshida. Yoshida had issued a challenge to Daimonji back on Oct. 31st. He will need to get past Yasufumi Nakanoue if he wants a shot at BJW’s top championship.
