Kaito Kiyomiya Has Stated That Losing At TANAHASHI JAM Is Frustrating, Says Him & Ryohei Oiwa Are Just Getting Started

Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar is not happy being on the losing end of the June 29th New Japan Pro-Wrestling TANAHASHI JAM event at the Dolphins Arena in Aichi.

In the main event of TANAHASHI JAM, Kiyomiya teamed with Ryohei Oiwa as they faced Hiroshi Tanahashi & NOAH legend Naomichi Marufuji. In a match that lasted over nineteen minutes, Tanahashi hit his High Fly Flow finisher on Oiwa which was good enough to secure the win for this team.

The loss made Kiyomiya very frustrated and he voiced his feelings about the result at TANAHASHI JAM on X. He confidently stated that, despite losing, he and Oiwa are just getting started.

From Kaito Kiyomiya:

“TANAHASHI JAM, I’m incredibly frustrated with the result. But when I’m in the ring with Tanahashi-san, even as my body moves, my mind drifts into something almost philosophical. He makes you feel what it truly means to be a pro wrestler. Neither myself nor Ryohei can afford to stop here. We’re just getting started! Thank you!”

Kiyomiya & Oiwa began teaming together back in Aug.2023. The competed in the NJPW World Tag League in 2023 & the NOAH Victory Challenge Tag League in 2024. They re-united at TANAHASHI JAM and teamed for the first time in over a year. It appears we may see more of the popular Kiyomiya & Oiwa tandem in the future.
