Kaito Kiyomiya & Yuma Anzai Earn Kobashi & Muto’s Praise

The youngest rising star of All Japan Pro Wrestling, Yuma Anzai, clashed with Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya; both received high praise.

Pro Wrestling NOAH and All Japan Pro Wrestling clashed today in Nippon TV’s “70 Years of Pro Wrestling” show live from the Korakuen Hall, with Yuma Anzai going against Kaito Kiyomiya in a generational battle. This match received praise from pro-wrestling legends Kenta Kobashi and Keiji Muto.

The show featured inter-promotional clashes between the two companies all over the card. Still, this specific match caught the attention of the fans because of the premise: Kiyomiya and Anzai have been two of the best-rising stars in Puroresu, and while the “Supernova” has had his moment to shine, Anzai is slowly coming together as one of the most important pieces in modern AJPW.

After the match, as we said, Kobashi and Muto praised both wrestlers and expressed their desire to run this back one more time next year in the Tokyo Dome. Muto specifically said he felt the energy of pro-wrestling in Korakuen. Kobashi on the other hand declared he was happy to see a great match from two wrestlers that will carry Japanese wrestling in the future.

Based on the report from PKDX, Anzai and Kiyomiya had choice words for each other, as both treated themselves as the future of Japanese wrestling, although NOAH’s Supernova declared he wants to be an even better version of himself the next time they face.
