In what was initially a rumour had become a reality as officials for the legendary pro-wrestling venue Shinjuku FACE have confirmed that it will close permanently at the end of September 2026.

On March 8th Pro Wrestling NOAH returned to the Yokohama Budokan for their APEX CONQUEST 2026 in YOKOHAMA event with 1,904 fans in attendance. 3 title matches took place in Yokohama with the headliner being Yoshiki Inamura defending his GHC Heavyweight Championship against former 4 time champion KENOH.

The Tokyo wrestling and MMA venue Shinjuku FACE is rumored to be closing later this year. Though there has been no official statement from the venue itself, sources claim that the venue will close its doors in the fall.

Pro Wrestling ZERO1 returned to TOKYOSQUARE in Itabashi on March 6th to decide the next challenger for the ZERO1 World Heavyweight Championship.

By: Thom Fain The rollercoaster of joshi puroresu can produce whiplash, and that's been especially true in the early goings of 2026. Champions can lose on a Tuesday, and two weeks later, those same champs are making heads turn around Tokyo. At Dream Star Fighting on Sunday in Nagoya, the first-ever Marigold 3D Trios Champions dropped a trios match just six days before their first title defense. And the very team set to challenge them on March 14th won the main event. If this is a coincidence, it's a star-crossed one. Mayu Iwatani, Victoria Yuzuki, and Komomo Minami — who will challenge Mai Sakurai, Natsumi Showzuki, and Erina Yamanaka for the 3D Trios Championship at Korakuen Hall on March 14th — scored the biggest win of the evening, defeating Utami Hayashishita, Chika Goto, and Nagisa Tachibana in the five-match main event. Yuzuki secured the fall by submitting Tachibana. [embed]https://twitter.com/MayuIwatani/status/2030709000854212929?s=20[/embed] Hours…

The NJPW STRONG Women’s Title was on the line at Pro Wrestling EVE’s biggest ever event. Alex Windsor was named as Syuri’s challenger back at NJPW The New Beginning USA, and won the purple belt in her home country.

The STARDOM Cinderella Tournament had its second round of competition in Korakuen Hall. The field was narrowed even further, with the quarter finals becoming set as only 8 women remain in contention for the grand prize.

NJPW carried on their opening round of the New Japan Cup in Amagasaki, with some renewed rivalries taking place. Shota Umino scored a win over Chase Owens, while Ryohei Oiwa got a pin on a man he knows well from tag team battles, Yuto-Ice.

TJPW were in Shin-Kiba 1st RING for the Prelude to Grand Princess, with the big event itself just a few weeks away. In the main event, Yuki Arai fired a warning shot at the Miu Watanabe ahead of their Princess of Princess Title match, making the champion submit.

The second half of the STARDOM Cinderella Tournament bracket had their opening round in Aichi. While the first day saw a couple of tied results, this second event saw a decisive winner in every match-up.
