The New Japan Pro-Wrestling Best Of Super Jrs 32 tournament is set to kick off on May 10th in Chiba. One of the high profile debuts in this year’s tournament is DDT Pro-Wrestling superstar MAO.
On May 24th, another highly touted Marigold “super rookie” Shinno Omukai is set to make her debut for the promotion at SHINE FOREVER 2025 which is scheduled to take place at Yoyogi National Stadium. The 16 year old Omukai is jumping right into the fire as she challenged the current Marigold United National Champion Mai Sakurai to be her debut opponent.
Back on April 13 at Marigold Spring Victory Series, Victoria Yuzuki successfully defended her Marigold Super Flyweight Championship against Rea Seto in an exciting match between the two young stars.

The All Japan Pro-Wrestling Champion Carnival 2025 is entering it’s final stages with two competitors moving on to the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament.
On May 6th, Hideki Suzuki and Kento Miyahara finished first and second respectively in Block A of the Champion Carnival to punch their tickets to the semi-finals of the tournament.
On May 11th, the World of STARDOM Champion Saya Kamitani will be putting her title on the line against Cinderella Tournament 2025 winner Sayaka Kurara at Korakuen Hall. Kamitani initially wasn’t taking the challenge of Kurara seriously but that changed on May 1st when Kurara pinned Kamitani in a six woman tag match.
In a little over a month, STARDOM has been rocked by major departures from their organization. Mina Shirakawa and Mayu Iwatani both left STARDOM and signed with other promotions, Shirakawa with AEW and Iwatani with Marigold.
On May 4th, the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Hirooki Goto successfully defended his title against United Empire’s Callum Newman in a thrilling bout.
The victory was Goto’s fifth successive title defense, which is the most since the inception of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
Since May 1st, there has been a huge amount of attention set on Rossy Ogawa’s Marigold when it was announced the “Icon” Mayu Iwatani had officially joined the promotion.
On May 3rd, over 4500 fans were in attendance at Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan to watch KENTA attempted to dethrone OZAWA for the GHC Heavyweight Championship at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s MEMORIAL VOYAGE 2025 IN KOKUGIKAN. KENTA was unsuccessful in regaining the GHC Heavyweight Title he lost over 10 years ago which prompted him to apologize to the fans.
