STARDOM has announced that their world champion, Saya Kamitani, is out of action due to an injury sustained at Supreme Fight. Part way through her title defence against Starlight Kid, Kamitani dislocated her finger and received treatment from the ringside doctor.
With NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka in the books, the American edition of the event is the next major show on the horizon. In Osaka, it was confirmed that Andrade El Idolo will face Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.
As the first major NJPW show following the retirement of The Ace, Hiroshi Tanahashi, The New Beginning was more aptly named than ever this year. Yota Tsuji successfully defended the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the main event, whilst major changes littered the undercard.
Pro Wrestling NOAH returned to Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall for an action-packed night in true “the ark” style. The card featured seven matches. The main event was a clash between Yoshiki Inamura and Takashi Sugiura for the GHC Heavyweight Championship, after Sugiura thwarted Inamura’s attempt to nominate Kenoh as his next challenger.
At STARDOM Supreme Fight, E neXus V lost their battle to Mi Vida Loca and Maika proclaimed that the faction was disbanding. Maika has since shared her thoughts on the decision and what the future may bring.

While there tends to be plenty of jaw-jacking and fiery comments in the build up to major events, Yota Tsuji and Jake Lee took a much more civil approach to their final encounter before their match for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
