The New Japan Pro-Wrestling Road to King of Pro-Wrestling 2025 mini tour kicked off on Oct. 4th at the Tokkei Security Hiratsuka General High School with 777 fans in attendance for the event. NJPW had seven matches scheduled for the card.
The featured bout was an eight man tag team encounter that saw Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, Hiromu Takahashi & Titan take on David Finlay, Gabe Kidd, Taiji Ishimori & Gedo. This match served as a preliminary for Tsuji and Kidd as the two will battle on Oct. 13th at King of Pro-Wrestling 2025 over Kidd’s IWGP Global Championship.
Tsuji and Kidd, who are no strangers to each other, had plenty of interaction during the bout to give the fans a preview of what’s to come on Oct. 13th. In the end, it was Tsuji who was able to stand tall as he ended the match at the 13:22 mark when he took out Gedo with his Gene Blaster finisher.
In the co-featured match, the current IWGP Tag Team champions Yuto-Ice & OSKAR faced Yuya Uemura & Tomoaki Honma in a non title bout. Uemura got a first hand look at the new champions as he is set to team to Shota Umino on Oct. 13th and challenge The Knockout Brothers for their IWGP Tag Team Championship.
On this night, Uemura teamed with Honma against Yuto-Ice and OSKAR and The Knockout Brothers proved to be too much. OSKAR ended the match after he locked a sleeper on Honma which resulted in the referee stopping the bout to give the IWGP Tag Team Champions the victory.
