Yoshiki Kato ascended to the top of Dragongate in Korakuen Hall as he defeated Kzy for the Open the Dream Gate Title. However, it was also a night steeped in sadness as Dragongate paid tribute to one of their greatest performers the promotion had ever seen, PAC.
The event began with a ten bell salute for The Bastard, with the Dragongate roster surrounding the ring, and Dragon Kid holding a portait of PAC in the ring. A rival, partner, friend and mentor to PAC, Dragon Kid further honored him in the opening match. Dragon Kid, Susumu Yokosuka, Naruki Doi and Luis Mante entered the arena to PAC’s theme music. The quartet dedicated their win to PAC, with Dragon Kid kissing the portrait in the post-match.
In the time since the event, Dragon Kid has posted on social media, remembering PAC.
PAC returned to DRAGONGATE at the Korakuen Hall event on 2 October 2018.

It’s something we’ll never forget.
PAC, please give my regards to Hayabusa when you see him.

Another of PAC’s greatest rivals competed in the main event, as Kzy defended the Open The Dream Gate Championship against Yoshiki Kato. Kzy made his entrance with a PAC shirt tucked into his gear. For Kato, it was his first time challenging for the belt, and it ended up being a successful. Just shy of the 24-minute mark, Kato planted Kzy with the Limit Bomb and scored the pinfall. The win crowned Kato as the 44th Open The Dream Gate Champion.
