Yoshiki Inamura and Los Tranquilos de Japon Retain GHC Titles in NOAH at Korakuen Hall

By: Pep S. Caro

Pro Wrestling NOAH returned to Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall for an action-packed night in true “the ark” style. The card featured seven matches. The main event was a clash between Yoshiki Inamura and Takashi Sugiura for the GHC Heavyweight Championship, after Sugiura thwarted Inamura’s attempt to nominate Kenoh as his next challenger.

Inamura and Sugiura delivered a hard-hitting match in the classic NOAH style. However, the match was interrupted in the final stretch by interference from Team 2000X. The NOAH heels tried to capitalize on their numerical advantage to secure a victory for Sugiura, but Kenoh once again came to Inamura’s rescue, helping him defend himself. Kenoh neutralized Ozawa and Yoshi-Tatsu, locking them in the cage at ringside and then dragging them backstage.

Without Team 2000X backstage, the match continued with great intensity for several minutes, but Inamura ultimately secured the victory after a Running Lariat and a Discharge Splash to retain his GHC Heavyweight Championship. Following the match, Inamura was finally able to nominate Kenoh, and they agreed that the match would take place on March 8th at Yokohama Budokan.

In the semi-main event, Los Tranquilos de Japon defeated White Raven Squad to retain the GHC Tag Team Championships. Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI defeated Kenta and HAYATA after a surprise intervention by Spanish wrestler Angel Reyes, who attacked HAYATA and neutralized Tetsuya Endo. After the match, Naito confirmed that Angel is the Pareja (tag team partner) he had mentioned the previous month and that we will see him teaming with Los Tranquilos de Japon in Japan.

In action at the NOAH Jr. Tag League 2026, the highly anticipated brother-brother match finally took place, and Team 2000X emerged victorious. Alpha Wolf and Kai Fujimura defeated Dragon Bane and Alejandro to maintain their undefeated record in the tournament. It was a very dynamic match, but the heels, with support from Yoshi-Tatsu, didn’t hesitate to use underhanded tactics to secure the win. Simultaneously, Tadasuke and Jun Masaoka of Team 2000X defeated Atsuhi Kotoge and Hi69 to extend their undefeated streak.

In backstage commentary, Galeno confirmed that he will return to Mexico soon, but before that, he wants to face Kaito Kiyomiya in a singles match. He stated that he considers Kiyomiya the best wrestler in Japan, and both agreed to have the match on March 8th.
