Xyon & Oddyssey Set To Face Ren Ayabe & Talos In The AJPW Real World Tag League Final

The All Japan Pro-Wrestling Real World Tag League is down to two teams as the finals are set for Dec. 10th at the famed Korakuen Hall. The “Titans of Calamity” Ren Ayabe & Talos will represent the A Block as they face the winners of the B Block, the AJPW World Tag Team Champions Xyon & Oddyssey.

The final event with block action took place on Dec. 7th at the Port Messe Nagoya Exhibition Hall #2 with an announced attendance of 615 fans.

The HAVOC duo of Xyon & Oddyssey were the first tandem to secure a spot in the championship match as they defeated Ryuki Honda & Naoya Nomura. The match ended at the 11:19 mark following a Xyon diving headbutt onto Honda which was enough to put him away. Had Honda & Nomura won, it would have created a complicated situation as to who would have advanced. Xyon & Oddyssey had no interest in that possibility as they scored a decisive win over Honda & Nomura and secured their spot in the tag league championship match.

The AJPW Tag Team Champions went undefeated throughout the tournament and appear to be unstoppable.

In the A Block, with Hideki Suzuki & Kengo Mashimo losing to MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka at the event, it came down to Ren Ayabe & Talos and Go Shiozaki & Shotaro Ashino. The two teams squared off in the main event and engaged in an action packed bout that could have gone either way. At one point in the bout, Ayabe very nearly tapped to a seemingly unbreakable Ashino Ankle Lock but Talos made the save.

It was Ayabe who was able to connect with his Death Roulette finisher on Ashino that ended the match at the 18 minute mark and catapulted Ayabe & Talos to the finals and ended any hope for an all HAVOC Tag League championship bout.

Ayabe & Talos and Xyon & Oddyssey came to face to face as the event came to end with the Dec. 10th AJPW Real World Tag League finals now set.
