World Of STARDOM Champion Saya Kamitani Makes Statement, Defeats Sayaka Kurara In Tag Match Ahead Of Their May 11th Showdown

On May 11th, the World of STARDOM Champion Saya Kamitani will be putting her title on the line against Cinderella Tournament 2025 winner Sayaka Kurara at Korakuen Hall. Kamitani initially wasn’t taking the challenge of Kurara seriously but that changed on May 1st when Kurara pinned Kamitani in a six woman tag match. The surprise win by Kurara cemented her status as a worthy challenger for Kamitani’s Red Belt.

Unfortunately for Kurara, her win on May 1st had awoken the monster known as Saya Kamitani. On May 6th, Saya Kamitani teamed with fellow H.A.T.E. unit member Natsuko Tora as they faced the Cosmic Angels team of Sayaka Kurara & Saori Anou.

Kamitani knew that she had to defeat Kurara in dominating fashion in this match to send a mental and physical message to the young challenger and that is exactly what occurred. Despite a valiant effort from Kurara, Kamitani pinned her following a Star Crusher.

Following her win, Kamitani took the mic and verbally assaulted Kurara in another attempt to play mind games with her:

“Hey, you [Expletive] Cinderella! This is the reality. On May 11th, at Korakuen Hall, I’ll make you understand everything, the weight, the fear, and the greatness of this Red Belt. Don’t think you’ll make it out alive.”

Kurara shot back after gaining control of the mic and had a few words for Kamitani:

“I’m a wrestler, so what’s wrong with a wrestler dreaming, challenging, and aiming high? Since becoming a wrestler, the one I’ve always watched, the one I’ve admired—Kamitani-san, your back was the kind of back that would aim high, chase after your dreams, and kept challenging no matter what others said. So on May 11th, I won’t say anything like I’m going to surpass you. Not now. But I’ll cling to your back and never let go. So please look forward to it.”

With her victory over Kurara on May 6th and the mind games which appear to be working, Kamitani is heading into her May 11th World of STARDOM Championship defense with, not only momentum, but a clear advantage over challenger.
