Utami Hayashishita and Nagisa Nozaki both earned crucial wins to stay atop their respective leagues in Marigold’s ongoing Dream Star GP tournament Friday night at Ichikawa City Bunka Hall before a sold-out crowd of 410 fans.
Hayashishita dominated the Dream League action, defeating Seri Yamaoka with her signature Hijack Bomb in 11:03 to maintain her share of first place with 6 points alongside Victoria Yuzuki. Meanwhile, Nozaki secured a countout victory over MIRAI in 11:11 to tie Misa Matsui for the Star League lead, also with 6 points.
The evening’s featured attraction saw Mai Sakurai celebrate her homecoming with partner Maya Yukihi, as they defeated Miku Aono and Kouki Amarei in 15:14 when Sakurai connected with a Running Powerbomb on Amarei for the victory.
With the Dream Star GP reaching its crucial stages, the Dream League sees a tight race developing. Hayashishita and Yuzuki share the lead with 6 points each, while Yamaoka and Mayu Iwatani trail closely behind with 4 points apiece. The Star League presents an equally competitive picture, with Matsui and Nozaki deadlocked at the top.
The night’s undercard featured strong performances across the board. Komomo Minami opened the show with a victory in a three-way match, using her Komo Clutch to defeat Yuuka Yamazaki while Nagisa Tachibana also competed. Misa Matsui continued her impressive tournament run, teaming with CHIAKI and Rea Seto to defeat Chika Goto, Kizuna Tanaka, and Yuuki Minami, with Matsui delivering the decisive MKD.
The six-match card also included a trios victory for Iwatani, Victoria Yuzuki, and Shinno over Nao Ishikawa, Hummingbird, and Megaton, with Shinno applying a Scorpion Hold to secure the win in 12:12.
Dream League: Victoria Yuzuki and Utami Hayashishita lead with 6 points, followed by Seri Yamaoka and Mayu Iwatani with 4 points each.
Star League: Misa Matsui and Nagisa Nozaki share first place with 6 points, while Chanyota and Mai Sakurai trail with 4 points each.
The tournament continues as Marigold builds toward the Dream Star GP finals, with both leagues featuring multiple contenders still in mathematical contention for the championship matches.
