Unagi Sayaka’s gyan period has become a tale of frantic chaos, bizarre situations and unlikely outcomes, and now the eccentric kabukimono adds her name to the historic lineage of the Champion Carnival events on May 7th.
Unagi had previously performed in the royal road’s mat last March, joining Cosmic Angels/COLOR’S teammate SAKI and none other than Yoshitatsu, to take on Seiki-gun and AJPW executive director Suwama in a more than peculiar trios match.
Despite being opponents, Suwama praised Unagi for her bright personality, saying that she’s the only one who can bring an element of excitement like she does to the company. He invited her to “make everyone bare it all” (expose her opps) more in the future.
The show’s matchcard hasn’t been announced yet, other than the tournament finals. However, Unagi has expressed disappointment that she may not join Yoshitatsu as he’s participating in the tournament’s A Block. For that reason, she tweeted out that she hopes he loses.
