TJPW Announces Tokyo Princess Cup 12 Matches

By: Pep S. Caro

TJPW will hold a new edition of the Tokyo Princess Cup, its traditional summer tournament. This year’s edition will begin on July 27th and will feature 16 contestants. However, Ryo Mizunami, last year’s winner, will not be participating. The schedule and matches have been announced:

July 27:

  1. Raku vs Miu Watanabe (A1)
  2. Moka Miyamoto vs Miyu Yamashita (A2)
  3. Mizuki vs Yuki Aino (A3)
  4. Suzume vs Wakana Uehara (A4)

August 2:

  1. Himawari vs Haru Kazashiro (B1)
  2. Arisu Endo vs Hyper Misao (B2)
  3. Shoko Nakajima vs Rika Tatsumi (B1)
  4. Yuki Kamifuku vs Yuki Arai (B4)

The quarterfinals will take place on August 9:

  1. A1 vs B1 (S1)
  2. A2 vs B2 (S2)
  3. A3 vs B3 (S3)
  4. A4 vs B4 (S4)

The semi-finals will take place on August 17:

  1. S1 vs S2
  2. S3 vs S4

The final will be held on August 23 between the last 2 participants. The tournament winner will face the TJPW Princess of Princess Champion at WRESTLE PRINCESS VI on September 20. If Mizuki is still the Champion at that date and wins the tournament, she will be able to choose her opponent.

It’s important to note that of the 16 participants currently competing in the tournament, only three have won it before: Shoko Nakajima, Mizuki, and Miyu Yamashita. Furthermore, Mizuki has won twice, currently tying her with Yuu as the female wrestler with the most tournament wins. If she wins this year, she would become the first wrestler to win TJPW’s top singles tournament three times.

The summer of Tokyo Joshi continues after the success of Summer Sun Princess ’25 last weekend. The action continues this Sunday July 27 with four matches valid for the Tokyo Princess Cup 12 plus some tag team matches.
