The MARIGOLD NEW YEAR GOLDEN GARDEN 2026 Tour Continued On Feb. 14th in Kariya City

By: Lewis Carlan

The MARIGOLD NEW YEAR GOLDEN GARDEN 2026 tour continued on Feb. 14th as the promotion rolled into the Kariya City Aioi Hall for another event.

The featured bout saw the team of GHC Women’s and Marigold Superfly Champion Mayu Iwatani team with Marigold United National Champion Victoria Yuzuki & Komomo Minami A.K.A Icon Peach Arrow facing off against the trio of Chika Goto, Kouki Amarei & Hummingbird. Iwatani, Yuzuki & Minami were looking to bounce back after being eliminated from the Marigold 3D Trios Championship tournament on Feb. 17th.

The bout went nearly sixteen minutes as it was Minami executing a Modified Backdrop Suplex on Hummingbird that secured the victory for her team. Minami showed poise and courage in her victory as she was pinned less than 24 hours ago by Rea Seto which eliminated Icon Peach Arrow from the 3D Trios Championship tournament.

After the bout, Chika Goto continued to challenge Yuzuki for her United National Title and declared the bout between them will be on Feb. 23rd at Korakuen Hall. This confused Yuzuki who has yet to agree to such a match.

All six competitors made post-match backstage comments following the main event:

Komomo Minami:

“I’m incredibly happy we won the main event. Next time, I absolutely want to win the 3D.”

Victoria Yuzuki:

“Gochika, I don’t really get it, but she just started saying stuff like it’s decided for Korakuen on the 23rd…”

Mayu Iwatani:

“I was eliminated in my first tournament yesterday, but I was able to change my mindset and take on the challenge today.”

Kouki Amarei:

“It’s been a while since I teamed with Chika, and I think our coordination wasn’t bad, but I still haven’t hit my full stride…”

Hummingbird:

“This is my second time fighting Icon Peach Arrow, and I’m 0-2…”

Chika Goto:

“I focused solely on Victoria Yuzuki, the Mad Dog. I’ve made up my mind—I’ll take her on for the title match at Korakuen on February 23rd.”

In other action, Megaton’s lengthy losing streak continued on Feb. 14th. Despite teaming with Marigold World Champion Miku Aono, they fell in defeat to the current Marigold Tag Team Champions CHIAKI & Misa Matsui in a non-title bout. CHIAKI hit a Diving Guillotine Leg Drop on Megaton for the win.

Megaton last victory was almost eight months ago on June 23rd 2025.
