Tetsuya Naito States That Facing OZAWA Gets Him Excited and is Looking Forward To See What Their Feud Brings Next

The current Pro Wrestling NOAH GHC Tag Team Champions Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI are set to defend their titles against the TEAM 2000x duo of OZAWA & Jun Masaoka on April 12th at APEX CONQUEST 2026 in NAGOYA.

Naito has developed a feud with OZAWA that has captured the attention of Pro Wrestling NOAH fans as well as many pro-wrestling fans in general. OZAWA and Naito have come face to face in a number of preliminary bouts ahead of their GHC Tag Team Championship bout on April 12th.

NOAH recently conducted their first interview with Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI which is now available on their official website. Naito offered some of his thoughts on OZAWA during the course of the interview.

Naito stated that is excited to face OZAWA and looks forward to see what comes next between the two.

“I’ve always loved pro-wrestling, and I read a certain weekly pro-wrestling magazine all the time. So I see that name a lot in there—OZAWA. As I kept seeing that name, I’d think, ‘Wow, this guy’s doing this kind of thing. Hmm, I wonder what would happen if I got involved?’ I imagined all sorts of things. After all, you don’t imagine getting involved with a wrestler you’re not interested in. “I realized I was actually interested in OZAWA… and when I actually saw him right in front of me, I found myself getting a little excited. We faced off in the preliminary match, and it was definitely fun. I’m really looking forward to seeing what comes next.” (English quote translation via Deepl.com)

Naito was asked how he felt about OZAWA using his Destino finisher on April 1st at NOAH LEGACY RISE 2026 to which Naito gave a lighthearted answer:

“When I saw that, I thought, ‘Wow, I’m pulling off some pretty cool moves.’ I’ve hardly ever seen anyone else do it, so in a way, I was glad to see it. It made me realize I’m doing moves that cool. I mean, I think he did it well. But more than that, I felt a sense of pride in myself, thinking, ‘Ah, I’m using moves this cool. Regardless of what happens on April 12th when Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI defend the GHC Tag Team Titles against OZAWA & Jun Masaoka, it appears the budding feud between the two superstars will be far from over. A singles bout between the two would be something the fans would clamour for and it could very well happen in the near future.
