Tetsuya Endo Praises HAYATA Following Their Draw on July 27th, Hints At A Possible Team

By: Lewis Carlan

Tetsuya Endo took the Puroresu world by surprise in Jan. 2025 when he announced that he would be taking a break from DDT Pro-Wrestling and compete in Pro Wrestling NOAH for the foreseeable future.

Endo, who has been with DDT Pro since 2013, was undoubtedly looking to compete against fresh faces which most likely factored into his decision to join the NOAH roster.

On July 27th at NOAH’s Sunny Voyage 2025 in Ishikawa, Endo faced HAYATA in a singles bout that turned out to be a terrific back and forth encounter. This match was a perfect example of Endo wanting to test his skills against talent he wouldn’t see in DDT Pro.

While the match ended is a double pinfall draw, Endo had nothing but great praise for long time NOAH superstar HAYATA. Endo even hinted that he’d possibly like to team with HAYATA in the future during his post-match backstage interview.

From Tetsuya Endo:

“HAYATA is incredible. You can tell how hard he trains. They say one real match is worth 100 practices—but if you’ve done 100 practices, that one match makes you twice as strong. I respect that. I want to face him again—or even stand beside him.”

A Tetsuya Endo/HAYATA tag team could be very interesting as their styles work very well together creating excellent chemistry between the two.

Endo and HAYATA would become immediate contenders for the GHC Tag Team Championship if they do, in fact, unite. The current tag team champions Manabu Soya and Daiki Inaba should take notice and be prepared for Endo & HAYATA potentially joining forces.
