Since 2020, Syuri has proven herself to be major player within STARDOM. She has held numerous titles at STARDOM including the World of STARDOM and Goddesses of STARDOM Championships.
On June 29th, Syuri made the surprise announcement that she will be stepping away from STARDOM to recover from injuries and to train overseas to improve her in-ring skills.
Syuri released a special statement today regarding her, what is now being called, upcoming excursion as she prepares to leave STARDOM and begin her training overseas. The superstar apologized to the STARDOM fans and vowed to be back in a STARDOM ring one day.
From Syuri:
“I have been wrestling for 17 years. I thought about it long and hard, but I have decided to take a break from STARDOM. I will train overseas and level up my game even more. My loss to Sareee was really frustrating. I won’t go out like this. I want to hold the IWGP again. That’s why I made this decision. I’m sorry to everyone who was looking forward to my appearances in the ring. I will be back in a STARDOM ring one day.”
STARDOM confirmed today that Syuri’s last match for the promotion before she steps away will be on July 6th at Korakuen Hall. For her final match, Syuri requested a singles bout with her protege, Ranna Yagami. Her wish was granted as STARDOM announced that Syuri will face Ranna Yagami on July 6th before heading off on excursion.
Syuri has joined Mayu Iwatani, Tam Nakano, Maika & Mina Shirakawa as the superstars that have left STARDOM either permanently or temporarily in recent months. STARDOM has a group of very talented young rising stars that now have the opportunity to step up and try to fill those voids.
With Ranna Yagami, Sayaka Kurara, Miyu Amasaki, Aya Sakura, Akira Kurogane, Yuria Hime, Rian, Hina & Rina to name a few, STARDOM’s future is in very good hands.
