At TJPW GRAND PRINCESS 2026, MIRAI will defend the International Princess Championship against her former tag team partner, Suzume. Over a month out, the two clashed in tag action at TJPW Final Curtain in KOBE Art Center, in what is likely to be their last encounter before meeting in the Ryogoku Kokugikan.
MIRAI teamed with the woman who had just challenged her for the International Princess Title, Toga. On the other side of the ring, Suzume was paired with her Daisy Monkey partner, Arisu Endo. The tag team chemistry of Daisy Monkey proved to be too much for MIRAI and Toga. The finish saw Daisy Monkey send MIRAI careening out of the ring, with Suzume landing her Ring-a-Bell cutter on Toga to score a pin.
Despite the loss, MIRAI spoke with confidence in her post-match comments:
This was a preliminary bout with Suzume for this belt, and I believe schedule-wise, this will likely be the final preliminary bout. Meeting Suzume in the ring after so long, gazing at each other, I felt so strongly the ways she’s changed since then, and the ways she hasn’t. There are feelings only the two of us understand. But this belt, on 29th March, I will absolutely defend it. I don’t want to lose, I can’t lose, I won’t lose. I will defeat Suzume. That is all.
MIRAI also extended an invitation towards Toga to be in her corner at GRAND PRINCESS.
Suzume was equally as passionate, speaking after the match:
We really clashed with years’ worth of… how should I put it? All those feelings we wanted to express. I’m looking forward to the continuation of this, and I hope everyone else is too.
Suzume was then asked where her true focus lies, the belt or MIRAI, answering with:
I have incredibly strong feelings for each, different in their own way. Both, of course. On top of that, fighting at Ryogoku Kokugikan is a factor too. I’ve got all these feelings swirling around inside me – the most complex, biggest feelings I’ve ever had. I intend to throw all of it, absolutely everything, into this fight.
