STARDOM Confirms Saya Kamitani vs. Starlight Kid for the World of Stardom Title in Osaka

STARDOM continues its 15th anniversary celebrations following the resounding success of DREAM QUEENDOM 2025 at Ryogoku Kokugikan and the two shows at Shinjuku FACE. All of these events sold out, demonstrating the immense interest STARDOM is currently generating among fans. The first major event of the year will be on February 7th when STARDOM presents Supreme Fight in Osaka 2026 and STARDOM just confirmed the main event for the show.

Saya Kamitani is currently one of the most recognized names in the world of professional wrestling. The reigning Stardom World Champion retained her title against Saori Anou at Ryogoku. After a hard-fought main event, Starlight Kid appeared to congratulate Kamitani and, at the same time, challenge her to a match for Stardom’s top prize at the first major event of 2026.

Some days after Ryogoku, Kamitani competed at the Tokyo Dome, facing Syuri in a match for the IWGP Women’s and NJPW Strong Women’s Championships. Unfortunately for Kamitani, Syuri emerged victorious at Wrestle Kingdom 20. Following the match, Kamitani announced she would be taking a month off and would return in time for January 7th, which was accepted by STARDOM.

This morning, STARDOM officially announced the world of Stardom championship match for February 7th in Osaka: Saya Kamitani (c) vs. Starlight Kid at Supreme Fight in Osaka 2026. Can Kamitani bounce back from her loss to Syuri and maintain her position at the top of STARDOM? Will we witness the beginning of a new era with SLK at the helm? We will find out on February 7, 2026.
