After a year that featured hundreds of events and a roster just now recovering from their hard-luck injuries, STARDOM’s finest were showered with praise from the company and fans in their annual awards show.

In the preview for the event, I wrote: Instead of svelte models in couture, picture these stunning athletes emerging in dazzling gowns fit for an empress. Forget your typical wrestling gear – this Sunday, the queens of the ring trade steel chairs for sparkling jewels, and piledrivers for pirouettes.

Not to be outdone by her other well-documented fashion statements, Giulia wore a tailored purple pantsuit and matching pumps while former DDM running mate Thekla arrived at the ceremony in a black leather ensemble true to her Punk ethos.

Queen’s Quest arrived wearing variations of white & black, with frontwoman Utami Hayashishita rocking an on-brand pantsuit with a masculine cut. She was flanked by Saya Kamitani in a floral print dress and pearls and AZM, who looked flattering in a more sophisticated and formal white dress.

Mai Sakurai, fittingly, was the only member of the roster to wear a fur coat this evening while Suzu Suzuki and MIRAI looked great in their lacy cocktail dresses. HANAN and Saya Iida were likewise captivating in their form fitting dresses that were threaded in glittering yellow and emerald respectively.

Mina Shirakawa and Waka Tsukiyama of Club Venus looked well-traveled and inspired in their dresses collected while wrestling abroad. And this year’s MVP Tam Nakano appeared stunning in a flowing, white dress with the purple hair that falls just below her shoulders.
