STARDOM Announce Full Card for 5★STAR GP Finals on August 23rd

After a long, combative summer in STARDOM, the 5★STAR GP comes to a close later this week in the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Along with the tournament finals, STARDOM have announced the full card set to take place.

Of course, the STARDOM 5★STAR GP will take center stage, with both the semi-finals and grand final taking place. In the Blue Stars side of the semi-final, the World of Stardom Champion, Suzu Suzuki, faces off with Starlight Kid. On the opposite side from the Red Stars, Rina goes one-on-one with Maika. Then, the winners of these two matches will compete in the main event to become the overall tournament winner.

Elsewhere on the card, Natsupoi will have a marquee singles match against her longtime friend and fellow Cosmic Angel, Saori Anou. With the calendar ticking over, we are drawing nearer to Natsupoi’s retirement set for the beginning of next year. As such, this may be the final singles encounter these two will have.

The NEW BLOOD Tag Team Championships will be on the line. The champion, Sayaka Kurara and Aya Sakura, will defend their belts against the rookies of the Itoh Respect Gundan, Rian and Kikyo Furusawa. While Furusawa went winless in the Grand Prix, Rian scored her only win against Sakura, prompting the duo to challenge for the NEW BLOOD belts.

There will also be a special tag match pairing Saya Kamitani and Momo Watanabe together following their seemingly settled hostilities. Though trouble had been brewing between the two in the lead up to the Grand Prix, Kamitani and Watanabe appear to be back on the same page after wrestling to a time limit draw in their block match. Together, they will face the team of Saya Iida and the Wonder of Stardom Champion, Hanan.
