Star Studded Main Event Highlighted AJPW ZENNICHI SPRING FAN FESTIVAL 2026 ~ ROAD TO CHAMPION CARNIVAL Event

We are nine days away from the official start of the All Japan Pro-Wrestling Champion Carnival 2026 tournament. Ahead of the prestigious tournament, AJPW held its ZENNICHI SPRING FAN FESTIVAL 2026 ~ ROAD TO CHAMPION CARNIVAL event on April 3rd at a sold out Shin-Kiba 1st RING in Tokyo.

The main event featured an all star eight man tag team bout in which all participants in the match will be competing in the Champion Carnival 2026 tournament. It was Rei Saito, Hideki Suzuki, Ryuki Honda & Xyon taking on AJPW Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara, Go Shiozaki, Jun Saito & Yuma Anzai.

The bout was evenly matched through out as both teams fought hard to secure a victory. In the end, neither team was able to emerge victorious as the bout went the full 20 minutes and ended in a draw.

Following the bout, each wrestler took turns speaking about the upcoming Champion Carnival 2026 Tournament. Go Shiozaki mentioed how this is the first Champion Carnival that he will compete in after 11 years.

Ryuki Honda stated to the crowd that is looking to become the youngest Champion Carnival winner in the history of the tournament. Currently the youngest ever to win is Yuma Aoyagi at 26 years and 5 months old. Should Honda win this years tournament, he will be 26 years and 2 months old.

In other action, Dan Tamura & Oddyssey defeated AJPW World Jr Heavyweight Champion Seigo Tachibana & Fuminori Abe. Tamura pinned Tachibana to secure the victory for his team following a powerbomb. After the bout, it was decided by both that Dan TAmura will challenge Tachibana for his AJPW World Jr Heavyweight Title on June 18th at Korakuen Hall.

• Daisuke Sekimoto defeated Shota Kofuji (8:56) with a lariat.
• Kengo Mashimo  & Yuko Miyamoto defeated Yuma Aoyagi & Hokuto Omori (9:59) when Mashimo pinned Omori after a failed vital point attack by Aoyagi.
• After Zennichi Jr. Tag Festival 2026 Special Six Man Tag Match: MUSASHI, Hikaru Sato & Seiki Yoshioka defeated Astuki Aoyagi, Rising HAYATO & Ryo Inoue (14:48) as MUSASHI pinned Inoue.
  
• AJPW vs. 2AW: Shotaro Ashino defeated Ayumu Honda  (9:29) with an ankle lock.
• Dan Tamura & Oddyssey defeated Seigo Tachibana & Fuminori Abe (13:52) after a Tamura powerbomb against Tachibana.
• Road to Champion Carnival 2026 Special Eight Man Tag Match: Kento Miyahara, Go Shiozaki, Jun Saito & Yuma Anzai vs. Rei Saito, Hideki Suzuki, Ryuki Honda & Xyon – Time Limit Draw (20:00)
