SPARK RUSH Faces TEAM 200 KG. At Marvelous in Korakuen Hall

Marvelous Pro Wrestling will hold its next major event this summer, an event at Korakuen Hall on August 8th. They announced the first matches at a press conference and have generated positive reactions on social media for the talents in action.

The match announced to close out the conference is likely to be the main event. It’s a match for the AAAW Tag Team Championship, in which SPARK RUSH will face TEAM 200 KG. The team of Sareee and Takumi Iroha is one of the most interesting and eye-catching in recent years, given that they are both Women’s Champions of New Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH, respectively. Sareee just won the Tokyo Sports Women’s MVP award earlier this year, and Iroha currently holds four belts, including a championship from Spain.

SPARK RUSH was born in May during the Marvelous tournament and managed to dethrone the former H2D champions (Sonoko Kato and Ryo Mizunami) to begin their reign. They have successfully defended their titles against Marvelous’ promising young talents, Senka Akatsuki and Sora Ayame.

Meanwhile, TEAM 200 KG, formed by Chihiro Hashimoto and Yuu, is one of the teams with the most championships. They are the current Sendai Girls World Tag Team Champions after defeating Red Energy (Mika Iwata and Miyuki Takase) at SENJO a couple of weeks ago. They have also held a reign as AAAW Women’s Tag Team Champions in the past.

It’s a very attractive match to heat up the summer in Japan. It’s a bout that could also have implications for their respective companies, as the challengers are talented Sendai Girls athletes. And also Hashimoto is the current Sendai Girls World Champion.
