STARDOM kicked off their annual tag team tournament with some surprising news in between block matches. Fuwa-chan, a former TV star and popular social media personality, made an appearance and announced that she is joining the promotion as an in-ring talent.
Fuwa-chan has appeared in STARDOM before, but only briefly. She has tagged with Hazuki on two occasions. The first took place on the opening night of the Goddesses of STARDOM Tag League back in 2022 against Hina and Saya Kamitani. The other was at All-Star Grand Queendom in 2023, facing Miyu Amasaki and Utami Hayashishita.
Fuwa-chan found herself in hot water after a comment she made on X back in August 2024. After receiving heavy backlash online, Fuwa-chan announced that she was taking a hiatus. In her appearance at Korakuen Hall, Fuwa-chan addressed the controversy, as well as what has brought her to STARDOM:
Last year, I caused a lot of trouble with my remarks, and I sincerely apologize. Today, I have something I’d like to talk to everyone about, and I would appreciate it if you could give me some of your time. Thank you.
It’s been a year and a half since then. Over that time, I’ve reflected on myself and thought a lot about things. There are many things I need to change. On the other hand, I’ve also been thinking about whether there are areas where I can utilize my strengths again. I’ve been experimenting, thinking, and striving every day. During this time, I also learned polite language. And, I’ve developed a new dream. Over the past year, while considering various possibilities, for me, the one thing I absolutely wanted to challenge myself with again was pro-wrestling.
This isn’t for repentance or atonement. For me, pro-wrestling has been something I’ve cherished ever since I challenged myself in a TV program three years ago. And, it’s a stage where only those who are prepared to fight with their lives on the line can stand.
With the determination to seriously dedicate myself to this beloved pro-wrestling, I came here to Korakuen Hall today to greet everyone. I came to give my greetings.
I am truly grateful to STARDOM for accepting me in this state, and to the senior wrestlers who have been guiding me. I will work my hardest from now on, so please support me.
Fuwa-chan announced that her first match as an official member of the STARDOM roster will take place at DREAM QUEENDOM on December 29th at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Fuwa-chan also commented on the upcoming match:
I’m incredibly honored to be given such an amazing, truly incredible stage to compete on. Nothing is set in stone yet, but I’m training my hardest toward that goal. I want everyone to see a Fuwa-chan more serious than they’ve ever seen before. I stand here with the resolve to face pro-wrestling with sincerity. I will absolutely deliver matches that exceed everyone’s high expectations. I will repay the kindness you’ve shown me many times over. I will definitely give my all from here on out. Thank you for your continued support.

Since making her appearance, Fuwa-chan has posted on her YouTube channel. Her channel currently has over one million subscribers, with her X account also crossing the one million follower count, and over 500,000 followers on Instagram. In the video, Fuwa-chan shows footage of her training to get back into the ring. She travelled to London, England to train as well as practicing in Japanese dojos.
The video description had another message for her fans:
It’s been a while, everyone, it’s Fuwa-chan!!

December 29th, Ryogoku Kokugikan
I’ll be putting all the feelings I’ve had over the past year and a half into the ring!!
