Shun Skywalker Wraps Up His Time with Dragongate After Ten Years With Promotion

After spending ten years with Dragongate and becoming arguably its biggest star, Shun Skywalker has competed in his last bout for the promotion on Aug. 4th.

Back on June 5th, Skywalker made the surprise announcement that had decided to depart Dragongate with Aug. 4th as his final date for the promotion. In July, for his final opponent as a member of the Dragongate roster, Skywalker choose his former PSYPATRA unit teammate Homare.

Skywalker and Homare squared off at the opening night of Dragongate’s REY DE PAREJAS 2026 tag team tournament in Korakuen Hall. The bout was aptly titled SSW DRAGONGATE GRAND FINALE.

Skywalker and Homare engaged in a hard-fought bout with intense back and forth action. In the end, Skywalker would not be denied as he hit a Skywalker Moonsault Press on Homare to secure the victory and ended his Dragongate career on a high note.

After the bout, Skywalker thanked Homare, he thanked Dragongate and then thanked Shun Skywalker which was followed by a primal scream before he departed the ring. As Skywalker made his way to the back, the fans gave him a nice ovation.

There is much speculation where Skywalker will end up next with NJPW being the most discussed destination for the superstar.
