TJPW are drawing closer to Wrestle Princess VII on October 3rd, and a title match has been added to the card. Having won the SETUP All Asia Women’s Championship at the end of August, Shoko Nakajima will defend the title at the TOKYO EBARA WAVE Arena Ota.
SETUP is based in Thailand, with Nakajima having travelled to Bangkok to take the belt off of Matcha, breaking her 455 day reign. Though Nakajima’s first challenger is yet to be named, the match has the potential to include some more international flair. On the TJPW website’s announcement of the match, they note that despite the All Asia name, competitors from all around the world are eligible.
Nakajima’s title defence will be the third championship match at TJPW Wrestle Princess VII. Miu Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi are set to defend the Princess Tag Team Championships, while the main event will see Yuki Arai defend the Princess of Princess Championship against Suzume.
