Shingo Takagi & Natsupoi Issue Joint Statement Regarding Their Marriage

On Jan. 12th, a surprising reveal occurred in the world of pro-wrestling as it was disclosed that New Japan Pro-Wrestling superstar Shingo Takagi and STARDOM superstar Natsupoi had gotten married in 2025. The two began dating in 2024 and submitted their registration for marriage a year later.

In May 2024, Takagi appeared on a STARDOM event to promote his upcoming 20th anniversary event which took place in Sept. 2024 in his hometown of Yamanashi. Natsupoi greeted Takagi while they were in the locker room and this led to an aggressive pursuit of Takagi by Natsupoi.

From Natsupoi (speaking with Tokyo Sports):

At that moment, I felt something go ‘zing.’ I guess this is what they call destiny (laughs). Once I thought ‘I want to know this person better!’, I aggressively pursued him. I asked for his contact information, called him on the phone. This was the first time in my life I’ve pursued someone so aggressively! But Takagi-san was super oblivious.”

The two newlyweds released a joint statement on X regarding their now public marriage.

From Natsupoi & Shingo Takagi:

“To everyone who always supports us, We would like to announce that Shingo Takagi and Natsupoi have gotten married. We have finally found our life tag team partners! From now on, we will not forget our original intentions and gratitude, and will work even harder and forge ahead. We are still an inexperienced couple, but we humbly ask for your continued guidance and encouragement. Shingo Takagi Natsupoi”

Shingo Takagi announced that on Jan. 14th, he will discuss his marriage to Natsupoi via live stream. The live stream will begin 6 or 7 PM JST on his YouTube channel.
