Seri Yamaoka & Shinno Win The Marigold Twin Star Cup Tournament, Rossy Ogawa Issues Statement On Their Big Victory

On Dec. 27th, Marigold held it’s Twin Star Cup One Day Tag Tournament in front of 768 fans at Korakuen Hall. This was the final Marigold event at Korakuen Hall for 2025 and was part of the Marigold TRUE VICTORY 2025 tour.

When all was said and done, it was the teenage Super Rookie team of Seri Yamaoka & Shinno that emerged as the winners of the Twin Star Cup One Day Tag Tournament. Yamaoka is 19 and Shinno is only 17 and they are considered the future of Marigold.

On their way to winning the tournament, Yamaoka & Shinno defeated Marigold World Champion Miku Aono & Megaton in the first round. Shinno forced Megaton to tap out to her Scorpion Hold as Megaton’s losing streak continued.

Due to a time limit draws in the Mayu Iwatani & Komomo Minami vs. Nagisa Nozaki & Rea Seto and Victoria Yuzuki & Kizuna Tanaka vs. Utami Hayashishita & Syoko Koshino bouts, Yamaoka & Shinno advanced directly to the finals.

They faced the current Twin Star Champions Misa Matsui & CHIAKI in the final bout of the tournament as Matsui & CHIAKI defeated Nao Ishikawa & Hummingbird in a semi-final match.

In a thrilling encounter, Yamaoka claimed the Twin Star Cup for her team as she pinned CHIAKI with a Dial Charge and ended the bout at the 11:31 mark.
