Seri Yamaoka Gives Her Target Date For a Marigold Return From Injury, Reveals Getting to the WWE is Her Goal

Back on May 28th, Marigold superstar Seri Yamaoka dislocated her shoulder during a match with Maddy Morgan. It was a hard landing from a dropkick that caused Yamaoka’s shoulder to dislocate.

Yamaoka had successful surgery on her shoulder on June 9th and it was expected that she would miss six months of in-ring action.

The injury bug has plagued Marigold in 2026 and losing Yamaoka was a massive blow to the promotion.

Over four months have passed since Yamaoka had surgery and she revealed that she has a target date in mind for her Marigold in-ring return.

Yamaoka was interviewed by Entame Next and was asked if the rumours of her targeting the Oct. 24th Marigold GRAND DESTINY 2026 event at Ryogoku Kokugikan as her return date and event were true.

From Seri Yamaoka:

“Yes. I’d love to have a singles match against either Sareee or Hiroyo Matsumoto at that event.” (Translated via Deepl.com)

It would be great if Yamaoka can return to in-ring action at full strength on Oct. 24th as she has been missed by all the fans of Marigold and Joshi Puroresu. Hopefully she is not rushing back into action and will only return if she is 100%.

During the course of the interview, Yamaoka was asked about her future plans and she revealed that she wants to become a top pro-wrestler, lead Marigold and eventually compete for the WWE.

“First, I want to rise to the top of Marigold and lead the team. Then, I want to have singles matches against Giulia, Sareee, and Hiroyo Matsumoto. Beyond that, I want to become the top pro wrestler and go to WWE. I also want to spark a pro wrestling boom and become someone who leaves a lasting legacy as “Pro Wrestler Seri Yamaoka” in the entertainment industry.” (Translated via Deepl.com)

Yamaoka is only 19 years old and has shown the world of pro-wrestling that she has a massive amount of talent and unlimited potential to become a true leader within the sport. Yamaoka can expect to become the face of Marigold and has such an incredible amount of talent that fans should not be surprised if she accomplishes her goal and is part of the WWE roster within the next 5 years.
