Senka Akatsuki Vows To Seriously Crush Seri Yamaoka At Their Dec. 28th Singles Showdown

One of the Joshi Puroresu highlights of 2025 was the intense rivalry that formed between Marigold’s “Super Rookie” Seri Yamaoka and Marvelous’ rookie superstar Senka Akatsuki. The two young stars are the future of Joshi Puroresu with each trying to prove their superiority over the other.

Up until now, Yamaoka & Akatsuki have met each other in tag team bouts but that all changes on Dec. 28 as the two will meet in a highly anticipated singles bout for the first time at Marvelous 2025 Final event at Korakuen Hall.

Things got a bit heated on X when, Yamaoka poked fun at Akatsuki who in turn vowed to completely crush her rival on Dec. 28th. Yamaoka posted a pic of Akatsuki in her wrestling gear and light-heartedly wondered if she ever wore casual clothes at all.

From Seri Yamaoka:

“I was just wondering, what kind of casual clothes does Akatsuki Senka wear?? Does she just wear costumes all the time??

This seemingly enfuriated Akatsuki who shot back to let Yamaoka that she isn’t fooling around and stated that she will seriously crush her on Dec. 28th inside Korakuen Hall.

From Senka Akatsuki:

Could you please not use other people’s photos without permission? Like, she doesn’t walk around in costumes all the time, duh. She wears regular clothes over them. Seriously, do you even have time to care about Akatsuki Senka’s casual clothes? Is that the only way you know how to trash talk? I’m going to crush you on the 28th. Not just win, but seriously crush you.”

When Seri Yamaoka meets Senka Akatsuki on Dec. 28th, fans are expecting a highly competitive, intense bout between two of the top young stars in Joshi Puroresu and that’s exactly what they are going to get. This will be the first singles between two rivals who may very well spend the next 15 years battling each other for supremacy.
