STARDOM Megastar Saya Kamitani Set To Return To In-Ring Action Ahead Of Schedule

The World of STARDOM Champion and 2025 Tokyo Sports MVP Saya Kamitani is set to return to action ahead of schedule after being out with health related issues.

STARDOM announced back on Jan. 5th that Kamitani would be taking some time off due to health considerations. Her original date of return was set to be on Feb. 7th in a World of STARDOM title defense against Starlight Kid.

On Jan. 21 at STARDOM’s New Year Stars 2026 event at Korakuen Hall, Kamitani made a surprise appearance and attacked Starlight Kid.

It was confirmed that Kamitani will return to competition on Jan. 24th in an eight woman tag team bout. Kamitani will team with Konami, Natsuko Tora & Ruaka against Starlight Kid, Ami Sohrei, Hanan & Bea Priestley.

This will be Kamitani’s first match since Jan. 4th where she was defeated for the NJPW Women’s Strong Championship by Syuri at Wrestle Kingdom 20 at the Tokyo Dome.
