Saya Kamitani Removes Starlight Kid’s Mask At STARDOM SUPREME FIGHT IN KORAKUEN 2026

The World of STARDOM Champion Saya Kamitani made a massive statement ahead of her title defense against Starlight Kid which is less than a week away.

On Jan. 31st, STARDOM held its latest event SUPREME FIGHT IN KORAKUEN 2026 with 1,332 fans on hand at Korakuen Hall.

The main event was huge six woman tag team match that saw Kamitani team with Wonder of STARDOM Champion Konami & Rina as they faced Starlight Kid, IWGP Women’s & NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Syuri & Ami Sohrei.

All eyes were focused on Kamitani and Starlight Kid as the two engaged in this preliminary bout trying to prove their dominance over the other before their World of STARDOM title match on Feb. 7th in Osaka.

On this night, Kamitani made a massive statement against her challenger in more ways than one. First, Kamitani ended the bout by pinning Starlight Kid following her patented Star Crusher finisher to win the match for her team.

But that wasn’t enough for Kamitani as she proceeded to continue her attack on Starlight Kid when the match was over. In an attempt to demoralize Starlight Kid, Kamitani was successful in removing the sacred mask of Kid and held it up for all to see. Numerous wrestlers rushed to the ring and covered Starlight Kid’s face with what appeared to be shirts or towels.

Kamitani grabbed the mic and had this to say while Kid was rushed to the back with her face covered:

From Saya Kamitani:

“Hey, Kid. Hey. How do you feel right now? Hey, are you running away? Hey, are you running away, Kid? The difference between Starlight Kid and me now is like heaven and earth. That ‘new era’ she keeps talking about is never going to come!”

Starlight Kid was brought to the backstage post-match interview area by Miyu Amasaki with her face still hidden by shirts. Kid was given another mask to put on by Amasaki. Starlight Kid was furious as expected and relayed this message directed at Kamitani:

From Starlight Kid:

“I’m frustrated that they made me look like this and said those things. I feel so bad that I couldn’t win despite having such strong feelings for Kamitani, but I will definitely win in Osaka on February 7th. I will definitely do my best on February 7th so that they will regret doing this and saying those things.”

One thing is now certain, the World of STARDOM Championship match between Saya Kamitani and Starlight Kid has just gotten even more personal and the fans can expect an all out war between the two at the Edion Arena Osaka on Feb. 7th.
