Saya Kamitani Finally Accepts Sayaka Kurara’s World of Stardom Title Challenge, But Kurara Must Wager Something of Her Own

After weeks of begging and hounding the champion, Sayaka Kurara finally has a shot at Saya Kamitani and the World of Stardom Title. However, Kamitani has added a wrinkle to the match that Kurara will have to accept.

Ahead of the STARDOM Cinderella Tournament quarter finals, Kurara once again crashed one of Kamitani’s book events. Kurara gave Kamitani a painting she had made of her. Kamitani feigned delight, only to snatch the painting and bash Kurara over the head with it. Suffering another rejection, Kurara vowed to win the Cinderella Tournament.

Kurara faced Rina in the Cinderella Tournament quarter final at Korakuen Hall. Despite Kurara’s efforts, she fell to Rina and was eliminated, dashing her plans to use the tournament prize wish to challenge Kamitani.

However, as Kurara reeled from the defeat, Kamitani made her way to the ring. On the microphone, Kurara refused to consider her hopes squashed:

I couldn’t become Cinderella… I lost this match. It’s incredibly frustrating. But that’s not a reason to stop, and it’s not a reason to give up! I’m not someone’s replacement or someone’s shadow. As Sayaka Kurara, I want to challenge Saya Kamitani for the red belt that Saya Kamitani holds!

Either taking pity on her, or just finally worn down by Kurara, Kamitani had some good news for her, but it came with a catch:

I understand. Fine. …But if Saya-sama is going to put the red belt on the line, what are you going to put on the line? Think of it as homework from Saya-sama. I’ll face you at Yokohama Budokan on March 15th, so come up with your answer by then! And don’t you dare say something stupid like ‘retirement.’
