Saya Kamitani Earns Red Belt Shot on February 4

STARDOM’s 13th Anniversary show in Osaka just got a bit more interesting

Continuing her fast rise back through the ranks of STARDOM after an elbow injury that kept her out of competition for four months, Saya Kamitani eliminated Mina Shirakawa at today’s New Year World Rumble.

AphroditE’s phoenix can rise yet further with her first Red Belt reign if she defeats Maika, the champion who even Giulia admitted looks just right wearing the strap.

At STARDOM Gate 2024, Giulia disbanded Donna del Mondo in order to “go back to being a lone wolf,” she said, and she also wants Maika one-on-one for the Red Belt.

Both Giulia and Kamitani each have their respective hands full as current champions, though. Giulia has seen a number of challengers for her NJPW Strong women’s title, and has a tough opponent in Trish Adora waiting for her in San Jose at Battle in the Valley.

AphroditE was also recently challenged for their Goddess of Stardom straps by Crazy Star following the Triangle Derby tournament just a few days ago.
