Sareee has fulfilled the goal she set out to accomplish at the start of 2025. We can now say that Sareee is the IWGP Women’s Champion as she defeated Syuri in a thrilling match today at “STARDOM THE CONVERSION 2025” in Yoyogi.
The match, which is being referred to as a classic, lasted 32:49. Sareee was able to secure the victory over Syuri following a wrist-clutch Uranage. This was Syuri’s second defense of the title that now belongs to Sareee.
Sareee had been very vocal for the past few months about her desire to win the coveted IWGP Women’s Championship and its now in her possession.
Sareee is the fifth person to hold the IWGP Women’s Championship. She joins the distinguished list of KAIRI, Mercedes Mone, Mayu Iwatani and Syuri as competitors who have held the coveted title.
Sareee had these comments immediately following her victory:
“I don’t lie in the ring. These tears and cries are all the spirit of the fight. Now that I have this belt, I will make this IWGP women’s belt even more exciting. Thank you so much to all the fans who have supported me up until now. Please continue to follow me!”
As a former Sendai Girls World Champion, a former Marigold World Champion, a former SEAdLINNNG Beyond The Sea Champion and current IWGP Women’s Champion, Sareee has cemented her status as one of the greatest pro-wrestlers of all time.
