Sareee To Attend STARDOM ALL STAR GRAND QUEENDOM 2025, Has Sights Set On Mayu Iwatani

On April 27th, STARDOM is set to hold it’s ALL STAR GRAND QUEENDOM 2025 at the Yokohama Arena.

One of the marquee matches scheduled for the event will be an IWGP Women’s Title match as the current champion Mayu Iwatani will make her 10th defense against Syuri.

Joshi Puroresu superstar Sareee has announced she will be in attendance at the Yokohama Arena on April 27th. Sareee revealed that she is setting her attention on the title match between Iwatani and Syuri as her goal for quite some time has been to win the IWGP Women’s Championship.

Sareee unsuccessfully challenged Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Title back on April 27th 2024 at ALL STAR GRAND QUEENDOM 2024. After she won the 2024 Tokyo Sports Women’s Pro Wrestling Grand Prize (MVP),  Sareee vowed that she will one day challenge again for the IWGP Women’s Title.

It’s no secret that Sareee is hoping that Iwatani remains champion following her title defense against Syrui as she has stated in the past that her loss to Iwatani in April 2024 “remains in her head”. Sareee even predicted that she expects Iwatani to win on April 27th and choose her as the next challenger.

“I believe that Iwatani will definitely win and choose me as the next challenger, and that’s why I’m going to Yokohama Arena. I’ll be there to watch this match from up close.” (H/T goes to meraWRESTLING for the English translation)

Saree has stated that she “thinks Iwatani has increased the value of the [IWGP Women’s] belt” and that she herself has grown as wrestler by winning the Tokyo Sports MVP Award at the end of 2024.

Sareee will be up close watching the match between Iwatani and Syuri and is expected to enter the ring to challenge the winner. For Sareee, she hopes she will be coming face to face with Iwatani when she issues her challenge for the IWGP Women’ Title at ALL STAR GRAND QUEENDOM 2025.

A rematch between the two for the IWGP Women’s Championship could be one for the ages.
