Rossy Ogawa Reveals Which Two Wrestlers He Would Like To See Become Leaders for the Marigold Roster

Marigold is a promotion that has seemingly run into a difficult period over the past few months. First they have seen the departure of one of it’s leading stars Utami Hayashishita as she competed in her final match for the promotion on May 23rd.

In addition, three of it’s top competitors, all of which are champions, are out of action. The Marigold Superfly Champion Mayu Iwatani, the United National Champion Victoria Yuzuki and one third of the 3D Trios Champions Erina Yamanaka are all out with various injuries. The loss of all three has been a major blow to Marigold.

As a result, Marigold’s attendance for events has been on a decline as of late. But regardless of the current situation Marigold owner Rossy Ogawa has maintained a positive outlook for his company that just celebrated it’s 2nd anniversary.

With the current voids in his roster, Ogawa took to X and named the two Marigold pro-wrestlers he feels could become leaders for the promotion. While at a Marigold sponsored race at Hiratsuka Keirin Bike Track, Ogawa was joined by the new Marigold Twin Star Champions Kouki Amarei & Chika Goto. Ogawa stated he would love to see the two become leaders for Marigold.

“A Marigold-sponsored race was held at the Hiratsuka Keirin track. The event drew a large crowd, much to the delight of the organizers. As Kouki [Amarei] and Chika [Goto] walked through the venue, they looked every bit the professional wrestlers. I’d love to see these two lead the Marigold team.” (English translation via Deepl.com)

Amarei & Goto became the Marigold Twin Star Champions when they defeated Misa Matsui & CHIAKI on May 23rd at Marigold Shine Forever 2026.

With their big victory, they seem to have showed Ogawa that they may have what it takes to step into a leadership role within Marigold and fill the void that the promotion has at the moment. Ogawa feels positive about the two and the fans should keep their eyes on Amarei & Goto and see how they progress over the next few months for Marigold.
