Ren Ayabe & Talos Retain The AJPW Tag Team Titles at EXCITE SERIES 2026, New Challenge Emerges For Titans Of Calamity

The All Japan Pro-Wrestling EXCITE SERIES 2026 tour got underway on Feb. 1st as over 2,000 fans filled the Okinawa Nippon Budokan for the event.

The “Titans of Calamity” Ren Ayabe & Talos made the first defense of their AJPW World Tag Team Championship as they faced a challenge from the Hokuto-gun tandem of Hokuto Omori & Kuma Arashi.

Ayabe & Talos were determined to successfully defend the titles they won back on Jan. 2nd and that’s exactly what they did. Despite a strong effort from Omori & Arashi, it was Ayabe hitting his Death Roulette finisher on Omori which ended the match at the 17:53 mark.

The Titans of Calamity addressed the crowd, which expressed their high approval, after retaining the AJPW Tag Team Titles in a tough first defense.

While backstage, Ayabe & Talos were confronted by Hideki Suzuki who challenged them for the AJPW Tag Titles and indicated his partner would be Suwama. The challenge was quickly accepted by Ayabe and Talos.

In other action, in a Triple Crown Championship preliminary, Kento Miyahara, Hideki Suzuki & Dan Tamura defeated Jun Saito, Yuma Anzai & Ryo Inoue. Miyahara is set to defend the Triple Crown Title against Jun Saito on Feb. 23rd.

• 3 Way Match: Cyrus defeated MUSASHI & Aizawa No.1 (7:03) with a reverse splash against MUSASHI & Aizawa.
• Go Shiozaki & Shotaro Ashino defeated Ryuki Honda & Rising HAYATO (12:29) after a Strong Arm Lariat from Shiozaki against HAYATO.
• Atsuki Aoyagi defeated Shisa Mask (9:59) with a La Magistral.
• Triple Crown Skirmish: Kento Miyahara, Hideki Suzuki & Dan Tamura defeated Jun Saito, Yuma Anzai & Ryo Inoue (15:23) after a shutdown of Miyahara Suplex Hold against Inoue.
• Main Event AJPW World Tag Team Title: Ren Ayabe & Talos (c) defeated Hokuto Omori & Kuma Arashi (17:53) after Ayabe’s Death Roulette against Omori (1st defense).
