After spending nearly five years with the WWE, Oddyssey made his All Japan Pro-Wrestling debut on August 3rd at AJPW Nettou Summer Action Wars 2025.
Oddyssey has made quite a huge impact within AJPW in a very short amount of time. He joined forces with Shotaro Ashino & Xyon to form the formidable unit HAVOC.
Oddyssey was a participant in the AJPW Royal Road 2025 tournament and scored a big win over Hideki Suzuki in the first round before being eliminated by Daisuke Sekimoto. He teamed with Xyon on Sept. 23rd to defeat Hideki Suzuki and Kengo Mashimo to become the AJPW World Tag Team Champions.
As he and Xyon prepare for their first title defense set for October 11th against Yuma Aoyagi and Yuma Anzai, Oddyssey took time out of his schedule and granted an interview to Monthly Puroresu to discuss a variety of topics.
Here is the Monthly Puroresu interview with AJPW superstar Oddyssey.
Monthly Puroresu:
Congratulations on winning the AJPW World Tag Team Championships with Xyon. How does it feel winning your first championship in Japan?
Oddyssey:
Thank you for the congrats. It feels amazing to be one of the few all foreign tag teams to win the titles in this historic company. It feels even better winning it with my brother Xyon.
Monthly Puroresu:
In your opinion, why do you think you and Xyon make such a dangerous team?
Oddyssey:
In my opinion, I believe that Xyon and I make such a good team because we have a unique combination of size and explosiveness for both of us. That with our experience training and out of the box thinking, we can wreak HAVOC everywhere.

Monthly Puroresu:
You already have your first challengers in Yuma Aoyagi & Yuma Anzai. What is your opinion of Aoyagi & Anzai and how much of a threat do you feel they pose to you and Xyon?
Oddyssey:
I’m excited to have my first titles defense against Yuma x 2. They are both very talented and skilled but the real question is what are they going to do to try and overcome us.

Monthly Puroresu:
You have been competing in AJPW since early August. What led to your journey to Japan to wrestle for AJPW?
Oddyssey:
I haven’t been here long but it feels like I’ve been here for years. I have always wanted to work in Japan and help build up a promotion to higher levels. I feel God placed myself and Xyon here together to do exactly what we are doing now.
Monthly Puroresu:
Have you signed a contract with AJPW? How long do you hope to remain with the promotion?
Oddyssey:
I hope to remain in the company for years to come. We are working out some things and getting it situated. I hope that AJPW and I can come to terms to a long term agreement.
Monthly Puroresu:
Was being able to wrestle in Japan always a goal of yours and are there any Japanese wrestlers that have inspired you?
Oddyssey:
Wrestling was always a dream of mine. I wanted to compete out here and truly see the extent of my abilities and talents. I watched legends like Misawa and Kobashi, as well as stints here from Stan Hansen. Hansen is someone I tried to emulate with his aggressiveness and intensity.

Monthly Puroresu:
How has your experience been over the last month and a half in Japan? What do you do on your off days while in Japan and how do you overcome the language barrier?
Oddyssey:
My experience has been amazing. I love the country and the culture. On my off days it’s usually just training and resting. I occasionally go out and see more of the country. I am fortunate to be here in the day and age of technology, all the communication gets hard but these phones and apps make is so much easier.
Monthly Puroresu:
Coming from the WWE, what do you feel are the main differences between wrestling in the WWE and wrestling in AJPW? Did you have to make much of an adjustment to your style wrestling inside an AJPW ring?
Oddyssey:
Coming from WWE to Japan the main difference I felt is crowd reaction and timing. The crowd here is more observant and enjoys watching which is nice to experience and for timing we have live shows with cameras but in the WWE with it all being television, it’s way stricter with time and where we work in and around the ring.
Monthly Puroresu:
Tell me about your experience in the Royal Road Tournament. What was the level of disappointment when you lost to Daisuke Sekimoto via a quick roll up and do you want another match with Sekimoto-san?
Oddyssey:
The Royal Road tournament was amazing and a great experience, traveling and challenging the talent of AJPW. Yes, I was upset about my loss. I wanted to win it all but Sekimoto is a talented vet so I give him his props.
Monthly Puroresu:
What led to the formation of HAVOC and could we see more members added?
Oddyssey:
Xyon was a huge part of the formation of HAVOC, he was somewhat the brain child making the logo and the entrance song. We have had talks about forming a faction in the past but it’s amazing to see it actually happen. Who knows what the future holds. You’re gonna have to come and watch to find out if more members will join HAVOC.
Monthly Puroresu:
Would you call HAVOC the dominant faction at the moment within AJPW?
Oddyssey:
I, one hundred percent, believe that HAVOC is the dominate faction in AJPW. Truthfully, I feel we are the dominate new faction in all of Japan.

Monthly Puroresu:
A team that would match up well with you and Xyon would be Jun and Rei Saito. What are your thoughts on The Saito Brothers and do you hope both teams are heading for a collision course down the road?
Oddyssey:
I feel the Saito brothers are a talented group of former champions in AJPW as a tag team and individuals. We briefly battled against each other when I first arrived and I would love to compete against them some more as a tag team.
Monthly Puroresu:
Do you desire a match with Kento Miyahara at some point which could be for the Triple Crown Title?
Oddyssey:
I would love to compete against Kento, he is talented, skilled and a veteran in the company and business. Going for the title against him would be fun for sure and to see if he is able to hang with my size and power.
Monthly Puroresu:
What does the future hold for Oddyessy in Japan?
Oddyssey:
I believe the future holds more dominance and more gold for Oddyssey and for HAVOC in Japan.
Monthly Puroresu would like to express our gratitude to Oddyssey for taking time out of his busy schedule and granting us the opportunity to interview him.
