Pro Wrestling NOAH star Ulka Sasaki will out of action for at least the next two dates due to the onset of shingles. Sasaki will miss the Aug. 24th event at Tama Mirai Messe in Tokyo and the Aug. 25th event at Korakuen Hall which is the 30th Anniversary of Muhammad Yone’s debut.
NOAH made the announcement on their website as well on their X account.
On Aug 24th, Sasaki was set to team with Tetsuya Endo & Eita against OZAWA, Daga & Null. That match will now be a tag team bout between Tetsuya Endo & Eita taking on OZAWA & Null.
On Aug. 25th, Sasaki was set to team with Kaito Kiyomiya & Tetsuya Endo to face KENTA, Manabu Soya & Kazuyuki Fujita. Daga will be replacing Sasaki in that match.
Sasaki took to x to comment on the situation and vowed to make a full recovery. He apologized to the fans as well.
From Ulka Sasaki:
“I have been diagnosed with shingles. To be on the safe side, I will be absent from tomorrow’s and the day after tomorrow’s matches. I apologize for any inconvenience caused to everyone who was looking forward to the matches and autograph sessions, as well as my opponents and all those involved. I will make a full recovery and return even stronger!”
NOAH apologized to the fans for any inconvenience this may cause for anyone who was looking forward to see Sasaki in action on Aug. 24 & 25th.
Everyone at Monthly Puroresu wishes a full and speedy recovery for Ulka Sasaki.
