Play-In Matches To Determine Final Four Participants For NJPW G1 Climax 35 Revealed

The New Japan Pro-Wrestling G1 Climax 35 is scheduled to begin on July 19th at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center.

On June 15th, at the NJPW Dominion event, sixteen of the twenty entrants for the G1 Climax 35 tournament were revealed. NJPW confirmed that the remaining four more entrants, two to each block, would be decided by play-in matches.

The eight competitors as well as the four play-in matches have been revealed by NJPW today and they are as follows:

• A Block Play-In: Callum Newman vs Taichi
• B Block Play-In: Tomohiro Ishii vs Drilla Moloney
• A Block Play-In: Ryohei Oiwa vs Don Fale
• B Block Play-In: YOSHI-HASHI vs Chase Owens

The Callum Newman vs Taichi and Tomohiro Ishii vs Drilla Moloney matches are set for the New Japan Soul event on June 23rd at Korakuen Hall.

The Ryohei Oiwa vs Don Fale and YOSHI-HASHI vs. Chase Owens bouts will take place on the New Japan Soul event scheduled for July 4th at Tokyo Budokan.

The New Japan Soul events will air live on NJPW World subscription streaming service.
