OZAWA Forced To Withdraw From Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 Victory Tournament Due To Injury

By: Lewis Carlan

Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar OZAWA will be forced to miss the remaining N-1 Victory 2025 tournament due to an injury sustained on Sept. 8th as announced today via a press release.

OZAWA was competing against Naomichi Marufuji on Sept. 8 and attempted a Springboard Moonsault to the outside. OZAWA overshot his target and landed hard on his feet and knees. He was unable to continue the bout and Marufuji was declared the winner via count out.

Pro Wrestling NOAH revealed OZAWA was diagnosed with a Lisfranc ligament injury and will be out of action for an extended period of time.

A Lisfranc injury will result if the midfoot bones are broken or midfoot ligaments are torn.

All of OZAWA’s remaining N-1 Victory 2025 B Block tournament matches will be forfeited.

Pro Wrestling NOAH apologized to the fans looking forward to see OZAWA in action and asked for their understanding due to the unfortunate circumstances.

Everyone at Monthly Puroresu wishes a speedy and full recovery for OZAWA.
