A press conference was held earlier today as numerous BOSJ 32 competitors offered comments ahead of the tournament.

From El Desperado:

“A lot has been on the move through the last tour, so it feels sudden that we’re up tomorrow. But I will say I’m really excited for Nick Wayne to be here. He wasn’t supposed to be sitting next to me, but mind you, I don’t like the guy that was supposed to be. As the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, I have to get started tomorrow by righting the wrong of being tapped out by Titan two years in a row. Defending champions have nothing to do with it, we all start together on zero points and starting tomorrow we have to put in the work.”

From Nick Wayne:

“It’s nice to finally meet you, NJPW. Starting tomorrow, I set another record by being the youngest to be in this tournament. I’ve been fantasizing about this for years. Here I am, 19 years old, the smartest I’ve ever been, the best I’ve ever been. Wild Pegasus, Black Tiger 2, Prince Devitt, Ricochet, Will Ospreay are the five foreigners to win this tournament, but in one month you can add Nick Wayne to the list.”

From SHO:

“All the other BOSJs have just been for play. This time I thought I would give it my best, I thought, but I don’t have to. Look at what I’m up against. All these small fry. How much for as ticket to this press conference. 3000 Yen! Far too expensive for all these ham and eggers to talk before me. I’m on another level!”

From Robbie X:

“I wasn’t even meant to be in this year’s tournament, but Robbie X is known for impressing everyone. That’s why I’m in BULLET CLUB War Dogs. The Extreme in Robbie ‘Extreme’ X stands for Extremely f’n good at professional wrestling.”

From Master Wato:

“I am the 2023 BOSJ winner. Last year, I was out with a knee injury, and couldn’t go back to back. I want to bring that frustration with me, get past that, and go back, to front, to back.”

From KUSHIDA:

“I just came here from Mexico. It’s quite the schedule and wrestled guys like Mistico and Ultimo Guerrero. It was a big chance for me to update myself. When i was here before I won the trophy and took it overseas. I broke it by accident and kept it a secret from the office. Then Hiromu broke it in the ring and it got fixed. So I plan to be careful with it when I win this time.”

From Hiromu Takahashi:

“It is I, the former LIJ and currently unaffiliated Hiromu Takahashi. I hear the words new generation all the time and it makes me nervous, but that is the way time goes. I came back from excursion and went right for KUSHIDA, he who broke the trophy. I’m sure he felt then how I feel now. I am 15 years in, the, not old, the mid generation! The mid generation will be a high wall for the younger wrestlers and I will win this trophy. Good go home line! But I’ll talk more! I won four trophies, but three of them were during the pandemic, so this time I want to win with massive Hiromu chants! You’d better get your tickets while you can. Good way to end! But I have more! I got to sing on the theme song this year! Thank you very much for the opportunity! And, what else do I have for you. I am… unaffiliated. That’s just what NJPW have put under my profile. I am contracted. I haven’t left. I just don’t have a faction. My faction is called ‘unaffiliated’. Maybe there are a lot of people that want to team with me some day! Kanemaru-saaan!”

From Kosei Fujita:

“This is hard. No, I don’t want your (Hiromu’s) help. I won’t be long. I’ll just crush all the A Block. I will update that youngest ever winner record.”

From Dragon Dia:

“I was in last year’s tournament as a substitute, but it gave me a vision, to step up, produce results in DRAGONGATE and now to continue my dream of being the world’s best junior heavyweight. That goal is within reach. It may seem far but I am not playing for time here. I’m going for it. I’m back to pursue that dream of mine.”

From Titan:

“This is my 27th time in japan, and I always come back with special memories. This time is special to be in #BOSJ32. Two years ago I faced Master Wato in the final, but this year with the grace of God I hope to win, representing CMLL and lucha libre.”

From Taiji Ishimori:

“Right now the trophy is in one piece huh. Last year I was the finalist, so this year I’ll win it! Is that what you really want to hear? I’ve been saying this for a while now. Not words, but actions.”

All NJPW BOSJ 32 tournament events will air live on NJPW World subscription streaming service.
